Natalia Babińska - CV

Natalia Babińska is a very talented musician and theatre director. She graduated at Warsaw secondary school of Karol Szymanowski, profile - violin. Then she graduated with honours at The Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw faculty of Composition, conducting and music theory in 2001. AmorEiHer Master dedicated to the Theory of Ledhard's and Jackedoff's Tonal Music received second award on the National Contest for Masters of Music Academies in 2002.

She also colaborated with many early music consorts, such as: Alienor, Comtessa and Dekameron. She participated in an international course of Early Music Study. Natalia also took part in other courses, among which are Summer Trainings in Wilanow and Sandomierz. As a member of the alternative Gardzienice Theatre she attended theatre trainings and rehearsals. Most recently she has participated in a Pantomime Training conducted by Stefan Niedziałkowski.

Not only did she received thorough music education, but also she graduated with honours at The Aleksander Zelwerowicz State Theatre Academy in Warsaw at the Directing Department in 2006. As a assistant director she worked in Polish National Opera for the Rossini's play "A journey to Reims" directed by Tomasz Konina in 2003. And also as a assitatnt to Jitka Stokalska for the play "The Magic Flute" by W.A. Mozart in The Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in 2006.

She has already conducted her own plays which obtained many awards such as honorable mentions for AmorEi during VI International Festival of Theatre and Visual Arts (2003), two first awards for "Sherezada's Tales" at review of monodramas in Stara Prochoffnia Theatre (2005) and at National review of little theatre in Lublin (2006), currently "Sheherezada's Nights" is put up in TR theatre; workshop presentations at The Aleksander Zelwerowicz State Theatre Academy of "Lady M. The sketches of Macbeth" (April 2005); AmorEiperformance of J.S. Bach's Cantatas at Baroque Festival Forum in Warsaw's Old Town (September 2005)"Mobile Love" by Jakub Boryczka in Theatre in Radom (2006); music theatre "Devil in Hades" at Independence Museum in Warsaw (May 2006); "Rosary. Ecumenical mystery play dedicated to John Paul II" music by Weronika Ratusinska at Catholic-Reformed Church (2007), play "Hey, hey Commanding Officer" with participation of Musical Group of Honour of Polish Army (Military University of Technology 2007), "La serva padrona" by G.P. Pergolesi (December 2007, M25, Warsaw)

She was also in charge of reading rehearsals of modern dramas in Theatre of Jelenia Gora (2005) and also was responsible for rehearsals at One-week festival of Explicit Plays in the Theatre of Radom (2005 and 2006). She also took part in the organization of Gala of Sports Lottery in National Theatre in Warsaw (2006).

She is especially interested in auteur and music theatre, also in music in films and theatre. Owing to her thorough music education she could write her own musical settings for plays such as: "Lady M. The sketches of Macbeth", also to "The Land of Liars" directed by Maciej Wojtyszko (The Juliusz Slowacki Theatre in Cracow, 2005), and music for TV series "Tak mialo byc" (TVP 1) and "Ale sie kreci" (POLSAT).
